In the centenary of Dylan Thomas’ birth the 17th annual Dylan Thomas Festival will feature an eclectic mix of events and fantastic guests.
There will be lots of great events including talks, workshops, exhibitions and performances – including Bob Kingdom’s acclaimed Return Journey, events focussing on war poetry, to mark the centenary of WW1, a launch of a new edition of Dylan Thomas’ Collected Poems with John Goodby and a night of Dylan Thomas-inspired Burlesque from Bluestocking Lounge.
Paul Henry curates an event in which four poets share their favourite Dylan Thomas poems and you can catch an afternoon launch of Little Man, Richard Jones’ debut collection. Hilly Janes talks on ‘Swansea’s Brush With Brilliance’
The Festival also marks the opening night of the brand new Dylan Thomas exhibition on 27 October. Thanks to funding of £935,700 from the Heritage Lottery Fund, we’ve refurbished and expanded the exhibition so you can see even more unique items and memorabilia, which were previously archived, from the life of Swansea’s most famous son.
